Hemp Licking Branch

Use the original Hemp Licking Branch when creating mock scrapes or to enhance an existing scrape. Unlike a natural branch, it will not snap off and allows the natural movement a buck prefers while applying his scent.

Pair it with Smokey’s 4-Buck pre-orbital scent for a highly effective combination, especially as testosterone levels rise in bucks through the post-rut period.

Note: Scrape activity typically decreases during the rut lockdown phase and increases again afterward.

How to set up a new mock scrape

1. Position the hemp licking branch 4–4.5 feet above the ground.
2. Clear bare dirt in a 2-foot-diameter circle directly beneath the branch.
3. Apply a half dropper of Smokey’s 4-Buck pre-orbital scent when first establishing the scrape.
4. Top off with 2–3 drops each time you are nearby until you observe buck usage. You can continue applying Smokey’s after buck usage starts to keep the activity high.
